Temporarily disable Securify

You may not always want the app actively blocking visitors. In such cases, you can quickly enable or disable the Securify app from the Settings panel. This allows you to temporarily turn off restrictions without deleting your configurations.

When to Use Disable Mode

You may want to disable the app if:

  • You’re troubleshooting access issues with legitimate customers.
  • You want to test your store without restrictions in place.
  • You’re temporarily allowing traffic from all regions and IPs.

Steps to Enable or Disable the App

  1. Log in to your Shopify Admin

Go to your Shopify Admin dashboard.

  1. Open the App

Navigate to Apps → Securify – Block IP & Country.

  1. Go to Settings

From the app’s top navigation, click Settings.

  1. Toggle the App On or Off
    • To disable: Set App mode to OFF.
    • To enable: Set App mode to ON.
  1. Scroll down and click Save

What Happens Next?

  • When disabled: All restrictions (IP, country, browser) are paused. Visitors will not be blocked.
  • When enabled: Your previously configured restrictions are restored and applied immediately.
  • Your settings are saved even when the app is disabled, so you don’t need to reconfigure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does disabling delete my rules?

No. Your restrictions remain saved and are re-applied as soon as the app is enabled again.

Can I disable only one feature (e.g., country restriction) without disabling the whole app?

Yes. You can manage features individually from their respective tabs (Country Restriction, IP Management, Browser Management). The main toggle controls the entire app.

Will visitors know the app is disabled?

No. Visitors simply won’t encounter restriction screens while the app is off.

✅ Tip: Use disable mode when troubleshooting customer complaints about access before making permanent changes to your restrictions.
